Chapter 4 - SECRETS BURIED IN BLOODTwo hours later, the Maybach pulled into a hidden estate deep in the pine forests of Valle de Bravo. High concrete walls topped with razor wire surrounded the perimeter, guarded by heavily armed private security guards.

Valeria was brought inside the glass-and-steel mansion. A female doctor immediately tended to her injuries—cleaning the cut on her forehead and wrapping her bruised wrists.
After dressing in warm, comfortable clothes provided by the staff, Valeria was brought down into the basement level. But it wasn't a dungeon; it was a high-tech war room filled with monitors, servers, and facial recognition databases.
Ignacio stood in front of a massive glass wall covered in photos, news clippings, and red strings linking powerful political figures, CEOs, and cartel bosses.
In the center of the wall was a photo of a young girl with a bright smile.
"Amelia," Valeria whispered, walking up behind him.
"She was fourteen," Ignacio said, his voice raw with emotion. "I was twenty-two, working eighteen hours a day trying to build my first tech company. I didn't notice the signs. I didn't see the men watching our house. When she disappeared, the police told me she ran away. By the time I found out the truth, she was gone."
He turned to face Valeria. "The symbol on Estela’s necklace belongs to the Serpent’s Order, an elite sub-faction of La Hermandad. They kidnap young women from wealthy or vulnerable families, erase their identities, and auction them to billionaire clientele across the globe."
Valeria covered her mouth, terror washing over her. "My father... he discovered it because Estela was using his shipping companies to move those girls out of the country! When he threatened to go to the authorities, she started putting small doses of thallium poison in his tea!"
"Where is the flash drive?" Ignacio asked, stepping closer.
Valeria reached into the hidden lining of her torn dress—which she had insisted on keeping—and pulled out a heavy, antique silver pocket watch. She pressed a hidden latch on the side. The back opened, revealing a micro flash drive embedded inside the clockwork mechanics.
"My father told me the encryption key is my mother’s birthdate," Valeria said. "Everything is in there. The names of the buyers, the bank accounts, the locations of the safe houses..."
Ignacio took the drive and plugged it into his central computer system. His lead tech analyst, Vargas, began running the decryption script.
Suddenly, red lights flashed across the room. A loud warning chime sounded.
"Sir!" Vargas yelled, his fingers flying across the keyboard. "The drive... it’s not just a storage device. It triggered a reverse-tracking ping the second we plugged it into the network!"
Ignacio’s eyes narrowed. "Disconnect it!"
"I can't! It uploaded a worm into our mainframe! It's broadcasting our physical coordinates right now!"

Before anyone could react, the power inside the mansion cut out completely. Darkness swallowed the room, replaced only by the eerie red glow of emergency backup lights.
From the forest outside, the heavy whirring of helicopter blades shattered the silence.
