Chapter 6 - BLOOD ON THE MARBLEVictor was a trained killer, but Ignacio was fueled by twelve years of unadulterated, unyielding rage.

Ignacio smashed Victor’s head against the marble floor, but Victor managed to slip a combat knife from his belt, slashing across Ignacio’s chest. The blade tore through Ignacio’s shirt, leaving a deep, bleeding gash.
Ignacio didn't even flinch. He grabbed Victor’s wrist, twisting it until a sickening CRACK echoed through the corridor. Victor howled in pain as the knife clattered to the ground.
Ignacio grabbed Victor by the throat, lifting him up against the wall.
"Where are the rest of the girls?" Ignacio snarled, his voice vibrating with bloodlust. "WHERE IS THE MASTER LIST?"
Victor spat blood into Ignacio’s face, laughing hysterically. "You think this ends with me? Estela isn't just an accomplice, Ignacio! She’s the architect! She’s the one who chose your sister twelve years ago!"
Ignacio’s heart stopped.
"What did you say?" Ignacio whispered, his voice shaking.
"Estela was the spotter!" Victor laughed through his broken teeth. "She worked as the administrator at Amelia’s school! She sold her to us for fifty thousand dollars!"
The truth hit Ignacio like a physical blow. Estela wasn't just a random cruel stepmother. She was the monster who had ripped his family apart from the very beginning.
Before Ignacio could crush Victor’s windpipe, a sharp explosion rocked the hallway, throwing both men to the ground. Dust and debris rained down.
Through the thick smoke, more mercenaries appeared, firing suppressive rounds to cover Victor’s retreat.
"Ignacio, we have to go! The house is collapsing!" Valeria screamed, dragging Ignacio by his uninjured arm toward the reinforced steel door of the underground tunnel.

Ignacio looked back, seeing Victor being dragged away by his men into the waiting helicopter.
With teeth grit and blood streaming down his chest, Ignacio allowed Valeria to pull him into the tunnel. He slammed the heavy steel blast door shut, locking it from the inside just as the mansion above them burst into flames.
