CHAPTER 6 — The Final Twist

As officers placed handcuffs on Victoria, she screamed,

"You can't do this to me! I am Hawthorne!"

Eleanor looked at her calmly.

"No."

"You are only someone who mistook cruelty for power."

Victoria was dragged out while reporters flooded the lobby below.

By sunset, the entire country knew the truth.

The poor old woman mocked at the gala was the real founder.

The billionaire CEO was her stolen son.

And the family that had ruled the company for decades had built its throne on a lie.

But the biggest shock came one week later.

At a press conference, everyone expected Eleanor to punish the board, fire thousands, and take control.

Instead, she walked to the microphone in her old gray coat.

"I lost many years."

"But I will not lose my soul."

Then she announced that half of her fortune would go to shelters, orphan programs, and elderly care homes.

The other half would remain in the company under Adrian's leadership.

But there was one condition.

Every executive had to spend one full week each year working anonymously among ordinary people.

Cleaning floors.

Serving food.

Listening to those they once ignored.

Adrian smiled through tears.

Then Eleanor turned to the cameras and said,

"The poor are not invisible."

"They are only ignored by people too blind to see them."

That night, the bronze statue of Richard Hawthorne was removed from the company entrance.

In its place stood a simple bench.

For anyone tired.

Hungry.

Forgotten.

Or laughed at.

And carved into the stone were Eleanor's final words:

"The person you mock today may be the reason your world changes tomorrow."
