Chapter 2 - The Fall of Outpost 41The heavy iron gates of Outpost 41 blew open as three black Military Police armored vehicles swerved onto the parade ground. Dozens of fully armed Special MP officers poured out, rifles raised, taking strategic positions around the perimeter.

Miller stepped back, stanching his sweat with a trembling hand. "This is a mistake! You can't do this! I am a decorated officer!" he shouted, his voice cracking.

"You are a tyrant who left a wounded soldier to suffer on the concrete for your own ego," General Anna Vance replied, stepping forward. She turned toward the ranks. "Medics, attend to Private Marcus immediately!"

Two field medics rushed out of the formations with a stretcher, lifting the injured soldier who had fallen during the exercise. As Marcus was loaded into an ambulance, he looked at Anna with tears of gratitude in his eyes.

Anna turned back to Miller, whose hand was secretly inching toward his sidearm holster.

"I wouldn't touch that weapon if I were you, Miller," Anna warned coldly.

With a sharp motion, MP officers moved in, forced Miller to his knees, and snapped heavy steel cuffs around his wrists. The commander who had terrorized the unit for five years was dragged away in full view of the hundreds of soldiers he had oppressed.

As Miller was hauled toward the black van, he leaned close to Anna and snarled through his teeth:

"You think cutting your hair was my punishment, Vance? You have no idea who you're dealing with. The people behind me will ensure you never leave this base alive."
