Chapter 6 - The Secret in the LockAnna looked straight into Miller's eyes and smiled. It wasn't a smile of defeat; it was the cold, confident grin of a predator that had just sprung its ultimate trap.

"Just one thing, Miller," Anna whispered softly. "Check your pocket."

Miller blinked, startled by her calm demeanor. Slowly, keeping his gun trained on her, he reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a tiny, blinking red device.

"What is this?" Miller barked.

"That is an encrypted satellite transmitter," Anna said calmly. "Do you remember that braid you cut off this morning on the parade ground?"

Miller's eyes widened in horror.

"Inside that braid was a microscopic audio-visual transponder," Anna revealed. "Every word you spoke on the parade ground, every confession you made in the truck, every dollar figure you mentioned, and every name Trent just dropped was broadcast live to the High Military Court in the capital."

Suddenly, the night sky erupted with blinding light.

Dozens of high-powered searchlights illuminated the entire base from above. The thunderous roar of military gunships filled the air as elite Black-Ops airborne units descended from the sky on ropes, surrounding the loading bay from every angle.
