CHAPTER 1 – "Kneel... Or You'll Never See Your Daughter Again."

Emily never imagined the man she once loved would become the person standing over her with cold, emotionless eyes.
Her knees hit the hardwood floor with a painful crack.
She looked up at Ryan, her husband of ten years, hoping to find even a trace of the man who had once promised to protect her forever. Instead, he simply tightened his grip on a black metal cane and stared down at her as if she were nothing more than an inconvenience.
"Beg," he said quietly.
Emily blinked through her tears.
"What...?"
"I said beg. Tell me you deserve another chance."
Her heart shattered.
In the living room behind him sat two elegantly dressed strangers—a glamorous woman with a smug smile and an older businessman calmly sipping expensive whiskey. Neither looked uncomfortable watching a wife humiliated in her own home.
Emily's voice trembled.
"I haven't done anything wrong."
Ryan laughed.
"You still don't understand? That's exactly why you lost."
For months she had noticed strange withdrawals from their accounts, secret phone calls, late-night meetings, and endless lies. Every time she confronted him, he blamed stress from work.
Now the truth stood only a few feet away.
The beautiful woman stepped forward and wrapped her arm around Ryan.
"Tell her," she whispered.
Ryan smiled.
"I'm marrying Sophia. As soon as the divorce is finalized."
Emily froze.
"But... we're still married."
"Not for long."
He tossed a folder onto the floor.
Inside were divorce papers... and documents transferring nearly every family asset into Ryan's name.
Every signature looked authentic.
Except Emily had never signed a single page.
"You forged my signature."
Ryan shrugged.
"Can you prove it?"
Emily reached for the papers.
Ryan stepped on her hand.
"You'll sign the real ones tonight."
"I won't."
His face darkened instantly.
"You will if you ever want to see Lily again."
Emily's blood ran cold.
"Our daughter..."
"She's staying with my lawyer. Safe... for now."
Emily screamed his name.
Ryan crouched beside her, smiling softly enough to terrify her.
"You have one hour."
Then he whispered something that made every ounce of hope disappear.
"I've already convinced everyone you're mentally unstable."
Emily realized this wasn't simply a divorce.
It was a carefully planned execution of her entire life.
But what Ryan didn't know...
Hidden beneath the loose floorboard under the staircase was something he had overlooked.

A small voice recorder.
And it had been recording everything.
