🔥 CHAPTER 3 – THE "HOMELESS MAN" RISKED HIS LIFE TO SAVE A CHILD… AND THE WHOLE TOWN TURNED AGAINST HIM

The abandoned warehouse stood beside the freezing river, hidden behind rusted shipping containers and broken windows. It was the kind of place people avoided after sunset.
Alexander had chosen it for one reason.
He wanted to disappear.
He believed Emily deserved a better life than one filled with rumors, danger, and people hunting him because of his fortune.
He never expected fate to find him first.
Late that afternoon, terrified screams echoed through the empty building.
"Help! Somebody help!"
Alexander rushed toward the sound.
A little boy, no older than six, had climbed onto the unstable second floor while chasing his puppy. The rotten wooden beams suddenly cracked beneath his feet.
His mother stood below, crying helplessly.
"No! My baby!"
Without thinking, Alexander sprinted upstairs.
The floor shook violently.
Another beam snapped.
Dust filled the air.
He reached the frightened child just as the entire platform collapsed beneath them.
The crowd outside gasped.
Alexander wrapped both arms around the boy and twisted his own body before they crashed through the broken floor.
The child landed safely on top of him.
Alexander took the full impact.
His shoulder slammed into concrete with a sickening crack.
Blood slowly spread across his torn jacket.
The boy survived without a single injury.
But before anyone could thank him...
Three police cars suddenly arrived.
Victoria's fake investigation had spread faster than wildfire.
One officer shouted,
"That's him!"
"The con artist!"
Several townspeople immediately stepped backward.
"He almost kidnapped that child!"
"I knew something was wrong with him!"
Alexander couldn't even stand.
Yet two officers handcuffed him while the injured man struggled to breathe.
The little boy cried desperately.
"No!"
"He saved me!"
"They're lying!"
Nobody listened.
Except one person.
Emily.
She ran through the crowd, pushing people aside until she reached Alexander.
She looked into his exhausted eyes.
There was no fear.
No guilt.
Only sadness.
She turned toward the police.
"I don't believe a single word you've said."
One officer held up the forged documents.
Emily tore them in half.
Right in front of everyone.
"If you're arresting him..."
"You'll have to arrest me too."
The crowd fell completely silent.
For the first time...
Someone had chosen Alexander over money, reputation, and public opinion.
Hidden inside a nearby black SUV, Victoria watched everything through tinted windows.
Her smile slowly disappeared.
"This woman..."
"Is becoming a problem."
She picked up her phone.
May you like
"Move to phase two."
"I want her grandmother."
