No one moved.
No one even breathed.
The cold evening wind swept through the courtyard as more than a hundred black-suited security officers surrounded the abandoned estate.
Emily stood frozen.
She stared at Alexander as if she had never seen him before.
"You..."
"...you're really Alexander Kingston?"
The man she had fed sandwiches to.
The man she had defended in front of the entire town.
The man she believed had nothing...
Was standing in the middle of a private security army.
Alexander slowly removed the fake beard that had hidden his face for weeks.
He wiped the dirt from his cheeks.
The scar above his eyebrow became visible.

On the giant billboard outside New York's financial district.
Tears immediately filled her eyes.

Alexander nodded quietly.

Emily lowered her head.

She didn't know what to say.
A loud scream shattered the silence.
Victoria grabbed Emily's grandmother and dragged the terrified old woman toward the edge of the balcony.
"Everyone back!"
"If anyone comes closer..."
"I'll push her!"
Security officers immediately stopped.
Snipers locked onto Victoria.
But Alexander calmly raised one hand.
"No one fires."
His voice remained steady.
Because he knew Victoria.
Cornered people made desperate mistakes.
Victoria laughed hysterically.
"You think you've won?"
"You destroyed my future!"
"You chose HER instead of me!"
Alexander looked directly into her eyes.
"No."
"You destroyed your own future the day you confused love with wealth."
Victoria's face twisted with rage.
She pulled out a pistol.
The crowd gasped.
She pointed it straight at Emily.
"If I can't have you..."
"...she won't either!"
Before anyone could react—
A gunshot echoed across the estate.
Bang!
Emily instinctively closed her eyes.
But no bullet hit her.
Alexander had thrown himself in front of her.
The bullet tore through his shoulder.
Blood soaked his shirt.
Emily screamed.
"Alexander!"
Security teams stormed forward.
Within seconds, Victoria was wrestled to the ground.
Her weapon slid across the marble floor.
She kicked and screamed as handcuffs snapped around her wrists.
Alexander slowly stood despite the blood running down his arm.
He looked at the police commander who had just arrived.
Only two calm words left his mouth.
"Arrest her."
The officers immediately surrounded Victoria.
She laughed.
"You can't prove anything!"
"You have nothing!"
Alexander reached into his torn jacket.
Then placed a small voice recorder on the hood of a police car.
"I thought you'd say that."
He pressed PLAY.
Victoria's own voice echoed through the courtyard.
"I forged the documents."
"I bribed the investigators."
"I'll destroy that waitress before Alexander ever finds out."
Every word...
Crystal clear.
Every officer stared in disbelief.
Victoria's face instantly turned white.
She had secretly recorded herself while planning her revenge...
Never realizing Alexander's security team had copied every file from her phone weeks earlier.
The police chief slowly looked at her.
"This recording..."
"...changes everything."
