CHAPTER 5 — The Billionaire They Tried to Silence

Victor Kane’s smile disappeared.
His phone buzzed once.
Then again.
And again.
Within seconds, every executive inside Harrington Global was receiving the same encrypted files.
Signed contracts.
Secret offshore accounts.
Bribery records.
Photos of politicians shaking Victor’s hand in hidden meetings.
Twenty years of corruption...
Released to the entire world.
Victor's bodyguards looked at each other.
For the first time, they weren't sure which side they were standing on.
Victor roared.
"SHOOT HIM!"
The church exploded into chaos.
Bullets shattered stained-glass windows.
Emily screamed as Daniel shoved her behind a stone pillar.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Daniel wasn't carrying a gun.
He never had.
Instead, years of military training took over.
He disarmed one attacker with a single movement, sending the rifle sliding across the marble floor.
Another lunged forward.
Daniel countered, knocking him unconscious before he could pull the trigger.
Victor backed away in disbelief.
"This is impossible..."
"You were a medic!"
Daniel's eyes burned with quiet rage.
"I was trained to save lives..."
He stepped closer.
"...and to stop the people who destroy them."
Meanwhile...
At Harrington Memorial Hospital, Michael Harrington stared at the live broadcast from his hospital bed.
Every missing memory came crashing back.
His father's warning.
The burning convoy.
Daniel dragging him from the wreckage while soldiers died around them.
Then...
The face.
Victor Kane.
Michael whispered,
"It was him..."
Ignoring doctors and nurses, Michael ripped the IV from his arm.
Blood dripped onto the floor.
"I've been blind for twenty years."
His assistant tried to stop him.
"Sir, you're injured!"
Michael grabbed his coat.
"If Daniel is fighting alone again..."
May you like
"...then I already failed him once."
He wasn't about to fail him twice.
