CHAPTER 4 — “The Brother Who Came Back From The Grave”

Police sirens echoed outside the gala hall.
Richard’s face twisted with panic.
“You don’t understand,” he whispered. “I had no choice.”
Thomas stepped closer.
“You had a choice when you locked me inside that burning warehouse.”
A horrified gasp swept through the room.
Thomas rolled up his sleeve.
His arm was covered in old burn scars.
“For thirty years, I lived without a name, without money, without justice… while you smiled on magazine covers.”
Richard’s daughter, Emily, suddenly stood from the front table.
“Dad… tell me this isn’t true.”
Richard couldn’t look at her.
That silence answered everything.
Then Thomas placed one final item on the table.
A small silver key.
“This key opens the vault where I hid the original invention plans.”
Richard’s knees nearly gave out.
Because if those plans existed...
Thomas didn’t just have proof.
He owned half of everything.
As officers entered the ballroom, Thomas turned to the cameras and said,
“I didn’t come here to beg.”
May you like
He looked at Richard.
“I came to take back the life you stole.”
