I didn't bother looking for my car. I walked out to the front courtyard where Julian’s bulletproof Mercedes Maybach was parked, shattered the driver’s side window with the butt of my pistol, hot-wired the ignition in under five seconds, and slammed the accelerator to the floor.
The heavy iron gates of the estate shattered as the Maybach plowed through them like a battering ram, launching out into the pouring rain.
