Chapter 9 - The Final ReckoningMassimo turned his back on the paralyzed syndicate bosses and walked slowly toward Dean, who was still kneeling on the marble floor, shaking like a leaf.

"Please, Massimo," Dean whimpered, tears streaming down his face as he grabbed the hem of Massimo's expensive trousers. "We were friends... remember the old days? Remember when we—"

"I remember everything, Dean," Massimo interrupted softly. He bent down, grabbing Dean by the collar of his ruined shirt and hauling him up to eye level. "You wanted my empire. You wanted my life. And above all, you wanted me to die helpless and forgotten."

Massimo let go of Dean with disgust, letting him slump back onto the floor. He turned to Rocco.

"Lock Dean and Julian in the high-security federal holding facility we prepared. Make sure the local authorities receive all the financial evidence against them anonymously by morning. Let the law finish what we started."

"And the outsiders, boss?" Rocco asked, glancing at Victor and Nikolai.

Massimo smiled coldly. "As for Victor and Nikolai... they are going to sign over thirty percent of their shipping and port operations in Chicago and New York to the Rinaldi family as a 'goodwill gesture' for trespassing in our territory. If they sign, they leave Brooklyn alive. If they refuse, the balcony snipers open fire."

Neither Victor nor Nikolai wasted a single second. Within three minutes, two pens were shakingly pressed against paper contracts, signing away millions of dollars in assets just to escape the Brooklyn estate with their lives.

As the defeated syndicate leaders hurriedly scrambled out of the ballroom, dragging their tail between their legs, the heavy oak doors closed behind them.

The grand banquet hall emptied out, leaving only Massimo, Rocco, and a few loyal guards standing amidst the glittering crystal chandeliers.

Massimo let out a long, slow breath, feeling the colossal weight of the past six months finally lift from his shoulders. He had reclaimed his throne, crushed the rebellion, and secured the Rinaldi dynasty's dominance for decades to come.

Yet, as he looked down at his hands, he knew that none of this would have been possible if not for a tiny, innocent three-year-old girl and her mother.
