📜 CHAPTER 5: The Ultimate Mastermind (The Final Plot Twist)

The torrential rain in San Juan did nothing to cool Adrian’s psychotic rage. When my sleek black Rolls-Royce pulled up to the gates, Adrian charged at the vehicle like a rabid animal, slamming his fists against the tinted glass.
"Lucia! Get out of the car! You orchestrated all of this, didn't you?! You knew Bianca was sleeping around, you knew the baby wasn't mine, and you waited for our anniversary just to ruin me!" he shrieked, his once-handsome face twisted in pathetic desperation.
The door clicked open. I stepped out, a large black umbrella shielding me from the storm. I looked down at Adrian and Bianca, who were both groveling in the mud.
"Adrian, you've got it all wrong," I said, my voice cutting through the thunder. "I didn't orchestrate your disgusting lives. I just brought them into the light."
"Lucia... save me..." Bianca whimpered, reaching out to grab the hem of my coat, but my bodyguards instantly stepped forward and pushed her back.
Adrian laughed insanely. "You won, Lucia. But don't forget, my grandmother only loved you because you were the daughter of her late savior. If she knew what a cold, calculating monster you really are—"
"You're wrong again, Adrian," I interrupted, the smile on my face growing wider than ever. I reached into my luxury handbag, pulled out a certified DNA document, and threw it directly into his wet face.
"Did you ever wonder why, three years ago, I willingly became a caregiver for Doña Elena—a bitter, difficult old woman whom even you hated? Did you ever wonder why she left an entire multi-billion-peso private trust to a mere 'goddaughter' like me?"
With trembling hands, Adrian picked up the document from the muddy puddle. His eyes scanned the genetic testing results between Doña Elena Villareal and Lucia dela Cruz.
"Probability of Biological Relationship: 99.99% (Grandmother and Granddaughter. Lucia is the daughter of Doña Elena's long-lost, eldest daughter)."
Adrian collapsed backward into the dirt. His eyes widened in absolute horror.
"You... you are..."
"That's right," I whispered, leaning down so only he could hear me over the rain. "I am the only legitimate, bloodline heir to the Villareal fortune. Three years ago, I approached Doña Elena to take back what belonged to my mother—the woman your parents drove to suicide. Our marriage? It was just a legal loophole my grandmother and I used to transfer the assets to me without raising your family's suspicion."
I looked at Adrian, who was entirely paralyzed by the truth, and then glanced at the shivering Bianca.
"For three long years, I played the role of the submissive, pathetic wife. I endured your insults, your mother’s abuse, and Bianca's backstabbing... all because I was waiting for you two to dig your own graves. You thought you were playing me? No, Adrian. You were just puppets in my inheritance plan."
I turned my back on them and walked straight through the heavy iron gates of the San Juan estate. Behind me, the gates slowly roared shut, separating my world of infinite luxury from the absolute ruin and madness of the two traitors.

In the distance, the wails of approaching police sirens echoed through the dark. Adrian was about to be arrested for assault and domestic violence, while Bianca faced impending fraud charges from Villareal's investors.
The storm raged on, but for the first time in my life, my sky was perfectly clear.
