Chapter 8 - A NEW HORIZONSix months later—Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

The morning sun rose over the sparkling blue waters of the Pacific Ocean, casting a warm, golden glow across the balcony of a modest, sunlit coastal apartment.
Inside, the gentle sound of bubbling water and the sweet smell of fresh tropical fruit filled the air.
Rodrigo stood at the kitchen counter, carefully measuring organic oats and fresh fruit puree for breakfast, wearing a comfortable cotton shirt without a hint of corporate anxiety or family obligation. His shoulders were relaxed; his eyes were bright.
From the bedroom, a happy, energetic giggle echoed down the hallway.
Daniela walked into the kitchen carrying little Mateo on her hip. At ten months old, Mateo was thriving—sturdy, strong, bursting with life, and flashing a toothy grin as he reached out to grab a slice of fresh mango from his father's hand.
"Looks like someone is ready for a big breakfast," Rodrigo smiled, kissing the top of Mateo's head before wrapping his free arm gently around Daniela's waist, pulling them both close.
"He gets his appetite from his mother," Rodrigo whispered softly, pressing a kiss to Daniela's cheek.
Daniela leaned into his embrace, breathing in the fresh sea breeze drifting through the open balcony doors. The nightmare of the Zapopan estate, the toxic silver cans, the threats, and the shadow of the Villaseñor dynasty were all thousands of miles behind them now.
They had lost the empty status, the fake prestige, and the suffocating wealth of a corrupt empire.
In return, they had gained something infinitely more valuable: their freedom, their truth, and an unbreakable family forged in the fires of survival.

Daniela looked down at her healthy, laughing baby boy, then up into her husband's transformed eyes, and smiled.
For the first time in her life, everything was exactly as it was meant to be.
