CHAPTER 1 – The Woman Nobody Wanted

The soft melody of a grand piano drifted through the elegant dining room of Le Château Royale, one of the most exclusive restaurants in the city. Crystal chandeliers reflected off polished marble floors while wealthy guests enjoyed thousand-dollar bottles of wine and gourmet meals prepared by celebrity chefs.

Reservations were booked months in advance.

The restaurant wasn't just a place to eat—it was where billionaires closed business deals, politicians entertained foreign diplomats, and celebrities escaped the public eye.

At exactly 7:15 p.m., the massive glass entrance slowly opened.

Every head instinctively turned.

A young woman quietly entered in a sleek black wheelchair. She wore a simple ivory dress with no expensive jewelry, no designer handbag, and no visible security guards. Large dark sunglasses covered her eyes, while her hands rested calmly on her lap.

Behind her walked a nervous waitress named Marina.

"I'll take care of you personally," Marina whispered kindly.

The woman smiled.

"Thank you. I already feel welcome."

Unfortunately...

Someone else had been watching.

Restaurant manager Victoria froze near the reception desk.

Her smile disappeared instantly.

"What is SHE doing in my restaurant?" she snapped.

Several employees exchanged worried glances.

One of the hosts quietly answered,

"She has a reservation, Ms. Victoria."

Victoria laughed coldly.

"I don't care if she reserved the entire building."

She marched across the dining room in high heels that echoed through the silent restaurant.

Guests slowly stopped eating.

Forks froze halfway to mouths.

Everyone sensed something ugly was about to happen.

Victoria looked the woman up and down with open disgust.

"This establishment represents luxury."

Her eyes stopped on the wheelchair.

"And THAT completely destroys the atmosphere."

The restaurant fell silent.
