CHAPTER 1 – The Woman Everyone Underestimated

The guests at the luxury hotel barely looked up when the screams erupted.
Two little boys had fallen into the indoor pool.
People froze.
Some grabbed their phones.
Others shouted for security.
But no one moved.
Then a woman in a gray business suit threw off her heels and dove into the freezing water without thinking twice.
She surfaced seconds later with one terrified child in each arm.
The room exploded into applause.
Everyone thought she was the hero.
Everyone... except one man.
A furious older swimming coach stormed toward her, his face burning with rage.
"What have you DONE?" he screamed.
The room fell silent.
The woman stared at him in disbelief.
"I saved them."
"No!" he shouted. "You ruined everything!"
People gasped.
Had they heard him correctly?
The coach pointed at the children.
"They were in the middle of a survival training exercise! You interfered because you wanted attention!"
The applause instantly stopped.
Whispers spread through the crowd.
Maybe... she really had made a mistake.
The woman looked at the frightened boys.
Neither child spoke.
Instead, both clung tightly to her neck, shaking uncontrollably.
Something wasn't right.
She whispered softly,
"Were you really okay?"
One of the boys began to cry.
Before he could answer...
Two black SUVs pulled up outside the hotel.
More than a dozen men in dark suits rushed inside.
Every employee immediately stepped aside.
Someone important had arrived.
Very important.
The angry coach suddenly turned pale.
His whistle slipped from his hand.
Because walking through the entrance was the richest man in the city.
And the two crying boys both screamed the exact same word.
"Dad!"
The billionaire looked at the soaking woman...
Then at his terrified sons...
May you like
His expression became colder than ice.
No one knew whose side he was about to take.
