CHAPTER 2 – The Truth Hidden Underwater
The billionaire walked slowly across the marble floor.
Every step echoed through the silent pool.
No one dared breathe.
The furious coach forced a smile.
"Sir, don't worry. She interrupted a professional survival lesson. Everything was under control."
The billionaire didn't answer.
Instead...
He knelt beside his sons.
"What happened?"
The younger boy buried his face into the woman's shoulder.
His tiny voice trembled.
"He... he pushed us down."
The room froze.
The coach laughed nervously.
"Children imagine things."
Then the older boy looked directly at his father.
"He held us underwater."
Every face turned white.
The billionaire slowly stood.
His security team immediately surrounded the coach.
"You have one chance," the billionaire said quietly.
"Tell me the truth."
The coach denied everything.
He insisted the children were exaggerating.
Then the woman spoke.
"I felt someone's hand pushing one of them deeper when I reached the bottom."
Silence.
The billionaire snapped his fingers.
A security officer hurried to the control room.
Minutes later...
The surveillance footage appeared on the giant screen above the pool.
Everyone watched in horror.
The coach wasn't teaching.
He wasn't rescuing.
He was forcing the boys underwater while constantly looking around to make sure nobody was watching.
The crowd erupted.
Parents screamed.
Hotel staff covered their mouths.
The coach collapsed onto his knees.
"It wasn't supposed to happen..."
But the biggest shock hadn't even arrived.
The billionaire turned toward the woman.
His voice softened.
"You don't recognize me, do you?"
She frowned.
"No."
He smiled sadly.
"Twenty years ago... my life was saved by a little girl who jumped into a river."
He looked into her eyes.
"You have the same scar on your left wrist."
The woman instinctively looked down.
Her heart stopped.
The billionaire whispered,
"I've been searching for you ever since."
Just as tears filled her eyes...
A phone rang inside the billionaire's jacket.
He answered.
Within seconds...
His face lost all color.
Someone had kidnapped his wife.
