CHAPTER 6 – The DNA Report That Changed Everything

The room fell silent.

"The empire... belongs to her?"

Even the gunmen looked confused.

The billionaire tightened his grip on the pistol in his hand.

"You're lying."

Victor smiled.

"I expected you to say that."

He reached into his coat and tossed a sealed envelope onto the marble floor.

"Open it."

One of the billionaire's guards picked it up and handed it over.

Inside was a certified DNA report.

The billionaire's hands began to shake as he read the first page.

Probability of biological relationship: 99.9998%.

His eyes widened.

The report compared only two people.

His late father...

and Sophia Blackwell.

"No..."

he whispered.

"This can't be real."

Victor laughed.

"Oh, it's very real."

He slowly walked closer.

"Thirty years ago, your father secretly married another woman before marrying your mother."

"The marriage was hidden."

"So was their daughter."

Sophia felt the world spinning around her.

"My mother..."

Victor nodded.

"She wasn't hiding from criminals."

"She was protecting the rightful heir."

The billionaire looked at Sophia, unable to speak.

If the report was genuine...

Then Sophia wasn't just a stranger who had saved his sons.

She was his half-sister.

Every memory suddenly made sense.

Why his father had secretly donated millions to an anonymous trust every year.

Why certain company shares had never been claimed.

Why his father had once whispered on his deathbed...

"Find her... before they do."

Victor clapped slowly.

"Now you understand."

"The Blackwell Empire never belonged to you."

"It belonged to Sophia."

Just then, Sophia noticed something strange.

The DNA report was folded incorrectly.

A tiny red stamp peeked out from the last page.

She unfolded it completely.

Her heart skipped a beat.

The laboratory seal was fake.

She looked closer.

The doctor's signature had been copied.

Even the barcode was duplicated.

Sophia smiled for the first time.

"You made one mistake."

Victor's confident expression disappeared.

She held the report high.

"This document is counterfeit."

The room froze.

The billionaire grabbed the papers and looked again.

She was right.

One digit in the laboratory registration number was wrong.

It belonged to a clinic that had burned down twelve years earlier.

Victor's smile vanished.

But instead of panicking...

He laughed.

"Good."

"I wanted you to figure that out."

Everyone stared at him.

"Because the DNA report was never the real surprise."

He pressed a button on a small remote hidden in his sleeve.

The giant television behind him switched on.

A live video appeared.

The billionaire's kidnapped wife was tied to a chair.

Behind her...

stood an elderly woman with silver hair.

Sophia gasped.

Tears filled her eyes.

"Mom?"

The woman slowly lifted her head.

She wasn't dead.

She had been alive all these years.

She looked directly into the camera and whispered five words that changed everything.

"He's not your real brother..."

The screen instantly went black.

And every person in the penthouse realized...

The biggest lie had only just been exposed.
