CHAPTER 8 – Only One Sister Could Survive

The room fell deathly silent.

Sophia stared into the face of the woman standing before her.

Same eyes.

Same voice.

Same scar.

It was like looking into a mirror.

The billionaire whispered,

"This... isn't possible."

The mysterious woman removed the silver phoenix badge from her jacket and placed it on the table.

"My name is Isabella Blackwell."

"I was separated from Sophia the night our family was attacked."

Sophia's heart pounded.

"My mother... told me I was an only child."

Isabella smiled sadly.

"Because she thought I was dead."

Before anyone could speak again, Victor burst into laughter.

"You still don't understand."

He slowly applauded.

"Twenty years ago, I didn't kidnap one little girl."

"I kidnapped both."

Everyone froze.

Victor continued.

"One escaped with her mother."

"The other grew up under my control."

Sophia looked at Isabella in horror.

"You..."

Isabella nodded, tears filling her eyes.

"I believed Victor was my father."

"I spent my entire life working for him."

She lowered her weapon.

"Until I discovered the truth."

The billionaire suddenly noticed something.

The countdown had stopped.

00:15:00

It wasn't moving anymore.

Victor smiled.

"You finally noticed."

"There was never a bomb."

"It was only a distraction."

The billionaire frowned.

"If there's no bomb..."

Victor interrupted.

"Then ask yourself why I wanted all of you together."

At that exact moment, every television screen switched on again.

Breaking News flashed across the screen.

BLACKWELL GLOBAL HAS BEEN HACKED.

Billions of dollars were disappearing from company accounts in real time.

Stock prices collapsed.

Trading was suspended.

Employees around the world flooded social media with panic.

Victor laughed louder than ever.

"While you were chasing family secrets..."

"...I was stealing your entire empire."

The billionaire grabbed his phone.

Every corporate account had been emptied.

Every backup server had been erased.

Everything...

Except one hidden account.

Sophia suddenly remembered the silver locket her mother had given her.

Inside the locket wasn't just a photograph.

There was a tiny encrypted microchip.

Isabella gasped.

"The Legacy Key..."

Sophia carefully inserted the chip into the billionaire's laptop.

A single message appeared.

AUTHORIZATION ACCEPTED.

Within seconds, every stolen transaction froze.

Every account reversed.

Every dollar returned automatically.

Victor's smile vanished.

"No..."

He frantically checked his phone.

"This can't be happening!"

Sophia looked directly into his eyes.

"My mother knew you would betray us."

"She didn't leave me an inheritance."

"She left me the only key that could control the entire Blackwell Empire."

Police helicopters suddenly surrounded the building.

Special agents stormed the penthouse from every entrance.

Victor backed toward the shattered window.

He smiled one final time.

"You may have won tonight..."

"...but you've still lost."

Before anyone could stop him...

He stepped backward.

And disappeared into the darkness below.

No body was ever found.

Six months later, Sophia and Isabella officially became co-chairwomen of Blackwell Global.

The billionaire stood beside the sisters at a worldwide press conference and finally revealed the truth behind their family's past.

As reporters prepared to leave, a young officer quietly approached Sophia.

"We found this in Victor's abandoned safe house."

He handed her an old envelope sealed with black wax.

Sophia broke the seal.

Inside was a birth certificate.

She read the name once.

Then again.

Her hands began to shake.

She slowly looked at Isabella.

"We're not twins..."

Isabella frowned.

"What do you mean?"

Sophia turned the document around.

At the top, one chilling sentence was stamped in red.

SUBJECT A – ORIGINAL.

SUBJECT B – CLONED.
