Chapter 10 - The Last ShadowMidnight fell over Boston, casting long, peaceful shadows across the city skyline.

Inside his penthouse office on the forty-first floor of Vale Holdings, Dominic sat behind his massive mahogany desk. The manila folder containing the Harbor House dossier lay closed in front of him. On top of it rested the final handwritten note from his father.
Dominic picked up a gold fountain pen, opened a fresh leather-bound ledger, and wrote a single sentence across the blank white page:
“The debt is paid. The future is secure.”
He folded his father’s note and placed it safely inside the ledger beside his own words, locking the drawer with a soft, satisfying click.
The phone on his desk buzzed. Noah’s voice came through the speaker.
"Boss. Everything is secure. The perimeter is clean."
"Good work, Noah," Dominic said calmly. "Take the night off."
"Thank you, sir."
Dominic stood up, walking over to the floor-to-ceiling glass window. Below him, the city lights twinkled like a million fallen stars. Across town, nestled in the heart of Beacon Hill, the windows of Harbor House glowed with a warm, steady light, safe from the darkness of the underworld.
