Chapter 9 - A New Dawn for Vance MeridianOne month later, the sun broke brilliantly over the glass-and-steel skyscraper of Vance Meridian Systems.

Inside the grand conference room, dozens of top-tier engineers, defense researchers, and high-ranking military officials sat in total silence as I stood at the head of the long obsidian table.

I wore a sharp, tailored black suit, but beneath the fabric, the scar across my ribs still throbbed with a dull, familiar ache—a permanent reminder of where I came from and what I had endured.

"For too long," I began, my voice ringing out with absolute clarity and authority through the room, "this company was used as a personal piggy bank for corruption, greed, and treason. Those days are permanently behind us."

The engineers exchanged approving glances, a wave of renewed hope washing over their faces.

"Effective today," I continued, "Vance Meridian Systems is returning to its core mission: developing advanced, unbreakable defense technology to protect American service members on the front lines. No shortcuts. No shell corporations. No compromises."

A slow, respectful applause began to ripple around the table, growing louder until the entire room was standing and clapping.
