Chapter 19 - THE SUPERYACHT EXECUTION: HER FIRST KILL TO SAVE THE KING

To celebrate the unification of the empires, we hosted a victory summit aboard our three-hundred-foot superyacht, cruising through the blue waters of the Mediterranean.
While delegates drank champagne on the upper deck, the disgraced former chief of security—who had gone into hiding after Marco’s betrayal—managed to infiltrate the ship disguised as a deckhand.
As Dante was standing near the stern, leaning over to show Leo a pod of dolphins playing in the cresting waves, the assassin pulled a silent spear gun from a gear box, aiming straight at Dante’s back!
I caught the reflection in the glass railing.
Without uttering a single sound, I sprinted across the polished teak deck, drew a small pearl-handled revolver concealed inside my lace evening bag, and stepped directly between the line of sight.
BANG!
I fired a single shot straight through the assassin’s forehead before he could pull the trigger. The man collapsed backward over the railing, splashing silently into the dark blue sea below.
The guards rushed forward, weapons drawn, but Dante stood frozen, staring at me as smoke drifted from the barrel of my gun.

I walked calmly to the edge, tossed the empty shell casing into the ocean, and tucked the weapon back into my bag.
“Nobody touches my husband,” I said flatly, looking around at the stunned delegates. “Now, enjoy the party.”
