Chapter 6 - THE PUBLIC EXECUTION OF AN EMPIREThe video of Michael Whitaker’s humiliating arrest at the Sterling estate hit the internet the following morning, leaked by an "anonymous source." By noon, it was the top trending video on every major social media platform.

The public reaction was brutal. But I wasn't done yet.
While Michael sat in a high-security holding cell in Nassau County unable to post his $5 million bail, I turned my attention to the second architect of my wife's humiliation: Cassandra Sterling and her corrupt family.
At 2:00 PM, I called an emergency press conference at the Whitaker Global Enterprises headquarters. Over fifty major news outlets squeezed into the grand briefing room.
I walked up to the podium, wearing a tailored black suit. I didn't look broken. I looked like an executioner.
"Thank you all for coming," I began, my voice clear and resonating through the microphones. "Over the past forty-eight hours, there has been immense speculation regarding the legal actions taken against my son, Michael Whitaker, and his associate, Cassandra Sterling."
The flashbulbs flashed relentlessly.
"Many have asked why a father would pursue such aggressive legal measures against his own flesh and blood," I continued, pressing a button on the remote in my hand.
The massive LED screen behind me flickered to life.
The entire press corps went dead silent.
It was the raw, unedited security footage from the wedding venue’s bridal corridor.
On the 30-foot screen, the brutal reality unfolded in horrifying high-definition audio and video.
The journalists gasped aloud as Cassandra’s voice echoed through the speakers: "You make our wedding look cheap and tacky!" followed by the sharp, sickening crack of her palm hitting Ellen’s face.
Then came the moment that made seasoned crime reporters turn away: Michael grabbing his own mother by her bruised arm and violently slamming her into the wall, watching her collapse onto the polished floor while they laughed and walked away.
The room erupted into absolute chaos. Reporters were jumping out of their seats, shouting questions, screaming into their microphones.
I held up my hand, commanding instant silence.
"This woman," I said softly, pointing to the screen where my bruised wife lay weeping on the floor, "is Ellen Whitaker. She was a pediatric nurse for twenty-five years. She built charity foundations. She gave everything she had to raise that boy."
I looked directly into the primary camera lens, looking into the eyes of millions watching the live broadcast.
"Cassandra Sterling and her father, Richard Sterling, run Sterling Developments. They believed that their high-society status made them immune to decency. They believed they could assault an innocent woman and hide behind their corporate influence."
I paused, leaning into the microphone.
"As of 1:00 PM today, Whitaker Global has called in all outstanding debts owed by Sterling Developments. We have acquired ninety percent of their construction loans, and we are initiating immediate foreclosure proceedings on every single one of their active projects."
The room buzzed with electrical intensity.
"Furthermore," I added, holding up a thick legal document, "my wife, Ellen Whitaker, has filed a $50 million civil lawsuit against Cassandra Sterling and Michael Whitaker for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and conspiracy."

I stepped away from the podium, leaving the room in a state of unbridled hysteria.
The trap was sprung. The Sterlings weren't just ruined—they were about to be devoured by the public.
