Chapter 10 - The Sovereign SyndicateDeep beneath the Swiss Alps, inside a subterranean vault carved straight into solid granite, seven figures sat around a circular table of black obsidian. They wore no name tags, carried no phones, and communicated exclusively through secure, encrypted neural-link earpieces.

This was the Sovereign Syndicate—a shadow council that controlled international energy markets, global pharmaceutical patents, and the political destinies of entire nations. Richard Hoffman had merely been their regional enforcer in North America, a dog that had finally bitten the hand that fed it. And now, the dog had been put down by a thirteen-year-old girl.

At the head of the obsidian table sat a man known only as The Chairman. His face remained hidden in the deep shadows cast by the vaulted ceiling.

"The girl is proving to be an expensive nuisance," a cold, clipped voice spoke in German from the left side of the table. "She has restructured Vanguard Technologies and aligned herself with Sterling Global. If we do not neutralize her now, her intelligence network will expose our European supply lines within three months."

"Neutralize a child?" Another voice scoffed in sleek Italian. "Have you forgotten the optics? If the media catches wind of the Syndicate targeting a teenager who is hailed globally as a corporate prodigy, our stock prices will plummet worldwide. We don't crush her with a hammer. We absorb her."

The Chairman raised a single, gloved hand. The entire room fell instantly silent.

"She speaks seven languages, manipulates global legal codes, and outsmarted Hoffman without blinking," The Chairman said, his voice deep, gravelly, and laced with sinister fascination. "She is not a nuisance, gentlemen. She is the most brilliant prodigy our generation has produced. I don't want her destroyed. I want her on our side. Send her the invitation to the Geneva Summit. Let us see if the little queen has the courage to sit with the masters."
