Chapter 6 - The SabotageThree days later, Ethan was deep in a board meeting at Carter Global headquarters in San Francisco, working to stabilize the company after Margaret's abrupt removal, when his encrypted private phone buzzed violently.
It was Maria.
Ethan swiped the screen and hit accept, but instead of Maria's voice, static and a high-pitched alarm shrieked through the speaker.
"Mr. Ethan! We're under attack! Men in masks just breached the east wing—"
BANG!
A deafening explosion echoed through the phone line, followed by the shattering of glass and Maria's terrified scream before the call went dead.

Ethan froze, the color draining from his face. He stood up so fast his mahogany chair crashed backward onto the boardroom floor.
"Cancel all meetings!" Ethan roared, sprinting toward the private executive elevators. "Get my chopper warmed up on the roof now!"
