Chapter 10 - A New DawnSix months later.

The morning sun poured through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows of a high-rise penthouse overlooking the glittering skyline of a new city. The office was sleek, minimalist, and entirely designed by Clara Sterling—the rightful owner and CEO of Sterling Technologies.

Clara sat at her executive desk, her fingers resting gently against her swollen belly. She was nine months pregnant, glowing with natural health, strength, and an unbreakable inner peace.

The door opened softly, and her legal counsel, Sarah—one of the few loyal friends whose memories had survived the syndicate's purge—stepped inside, holding a thick manila folder.

"The federal asset liquidation is complete," Sarah said with a triumphant smile, placing the folder on the desk. "All the Vance patents have been successfully transferred back to your name. Furthermore, the global syndicate has been officially dismantled by an international tribunal. Not a single trace of Project Genesis remains."

Clara nodded slowly, signing the final document with a steady, decisive stroke of her pen.

"And Julian?" Clara asked, her voice calm, carrying neither hatred nor sorrow—only the distant indifference one feels toward a chapter of a book finished long ago.

"Sentenced to life without parole in a federal maximum-security facility," Sarah replied quietly. "Doctors say the neural reset left him... permanently altered. He spends his days staring out a small window, trying to remember if any of his life was ever real."

Clara looked back out the window at the endless expanse of the morning sky. The wind blew softly outside, carrying the promise of a brand-new day. She placed both hands gently on her stomach as her baby gave a strong, healthy kick.

They had tried to make her a prisoner in her own mind. They had tried to steal her past, her wealth, and her child.
