Dante let out a harsh, bitter laugh that echoed off the ancient stone walls. "You think you're a god, Lena? You think you can play chess with human lives and not pay the price?" He stepped even closer, his fingers gripping my jaw—not with violence, but with a desperate, terrifying passion. "Sofia is out. She has an entire federal strike force behind her because she traded my family's remaining operational codes. She isn't coming for me, Lena. She knows what you did. She's coming for the children."
The mention of Julian and Valentina sent a jolt of pure adrenaline through my system. I grabbed Dante’s wrist, my fingernails digging into his skin. "Where are the twins?"

"But your hidden server at the villa—the one controlling your global network—just went dark thirty seconds ago. Sofia didn't attack Zurich to fight you, Lena. She attacked Zurich to lure us to Venice so she could take our home."
