CHAPTER 6 — The Fight That Changed the Prison Forever

Emma, Raven, and dozens of inmates moved through the dark corridors.

For once, Block D was not divided by fear.

It moved like an army.

Women who had once hated each other now protected one another.

Raven led the strongest inmates through the east tunnel.

Emma slipped through the old laundry passage.

Every step brought them closer to the underground room.

Victor's men waited with weapons.

But they were not ready for prisoners who no longer feared them.

Raven fought like a storm.

Emma moved like a shadow.

Together, they broke through the final door.

Lena was tied to a chair, trembling.

Emma rushed to her.

But then Victor stepped from the darkness with a gun in his hand.

"Still playing hero?"

Emma slowly stood between Victor and her sister.

Victor smiled.

"You don't understand."

"I didn't bring you here to kill you."

"I brought you here so the world could watch Ghost become a prisoner forever."

A red recording light blinked in the corner.

Victor planned to frame Emma for the entire prison riot.

But before he could speak again...

Raven stepped forward.

"No."

Then every inmate behind her raised their hands.

Each one held a hidden phone, stolen from corrupt guards.

They had recorded everything.

Victor's confession.

The kidnapping.

The trap.

His face twisted in horror.

Emma looked at him and whispered,

"Checkmate."

Minutes later, federal agents stormed the prison.

Victor Hale was dragged out in handcuffs.

As Emma hugged her sister, Raven looked at the inmates behind her.

For the first time...

No one called her queen.

No one needed a queen anymore.

May you like

They had found something stronger.

A reason to stand together.
