Three days later...
News helicopters circled above the prison.
Television crews crowded outside the gates.
Every major network carried the same headline:
"UNDERCOVER AGENT ENDS AMERICA'S LARGEST PRISON CORRUPTION RING."
Inside, Emma's release papers had finally arrived.
The warden placed them on the metal table.
"You've done your job."
"You're free."
Emma looked at the papers...
But didn't touch them.
"I can't leave."
The room fell silent.
The warden frowned.
"The operation is over."
Emma slowly shook her head.
"No..."
"It just started."
She slid a thin folder across the desk.
Inside were dozens of handwritten names.
Victims.
Women who had been framed.
Women forced to confess.
Women abandoned by a broken justice system.
Emma looked directly at the warden.
"Victor wasn't the disease."
"He was only one symptom."
The warden's expression changed.
"How many?"
Emma answered quietly.
"At least seventy-three innocent women are still locked behind these walls."
The room became deadly silent.
Hours later...
Federal investigators arrived carrying sealed evidence boxes.
One by one, forgotten case files were reopened.
DNA tests.
Hidden surveillance footage.
Witness statements that had mysteriously disappeared years earlier.
The truth began pouring out faster than anyone expected.
One elderly inmate collapsed into tears after investigators proved she had spent twenty-six years in prison for a murder committed by someone else.
Another woman learned that her confession had been forged.
The prison that had once symbolized fear...
Was becoming the center of the biggest justice investigation in decades.
Then Emma noticed something strange.
One file was missing.
Her own.
Someone had removed every page describing why she had supposedly been convicted.
