"No... that's impossible," Vanessa whispered, stumbling back until her spine hit the glass wall of the balcony. "I checked the corporate registries! The assets were transferred to Arthur's shell company!"

"Look at your phone, sweetheart," Marcus said casually.

Vanessa’s hands shook as she pulled her gold-plated iPhone from her designer purse. Her banking app flashed a stark, terrifying notification: Account Balance: $0.00. All holdings frozen under federal RICO asset forfeiture mandate, executed by Carter-Vance Holdings.

"Your shell companies were built on dummy accounts financed by Vincent’s illegal syndicates," Marcus explained, turning toward the door. "And since Madison holds the master forensic key to every ledger in this city, she didn't just let you steal them—she waited until you consolidated them into one convenient basket so she could seize the entire lot in a single stroke."

Arthur lunged forward, grabbing a pistol from his jacket holster, but before he could clear the leather, two silencers clicked simultaneously.
