Chapter 13 - The Unseen WatcherBack at the Moretti estate, the afternoon sun cast long shadows across the manicured lawns. Lily was chasing a stray butterfly near the grand fountains, her one-eared rabbit clutched tightly under her arm, while two of Dominic’s most trusted bodyguards watched from a discreet distance.

From a black sedan parked half a mile down the private tree-lined drive, Marco Rossi adjusted his binoculars, his breath fogging the tinted window.

"Got eyes on the target," Marco muttered into a burner phone. "The kid is playing by the fountain. The security detail is light—only two men within fifty yards. It’s too easy."

"Don't move in yet," Rossi's voice crackled through the speaker. "Verify the patrol routes. Dominic doesn't leave security to chance anymore. I want the kid taken cleanly, without a firefight, until we’re ready to send our message."

Marco cursed under his breath as a sleek black SUV turned the corner, slowly patrolling the perimeter road. He ducked low, cursing his impatience. He didn't know it, but high above on the second-floor balcony, a pair of cold, steel-gray eyes were already tracking the reflection of his binoculars in the glass.
