Chapter 15 - The BreachNight fell over New York, blanketing the Moretti estate in heavy shadows and a thick, creeping mist rolling in from the river.

Inside the mansion, Lily was fast asleep in her guest suite, clutching her torn-eared rabbit, dreaming of baobab trees and friendly elephants. Downstairs, Sophia was tidying the kitchen, entirely unaware of the storm brewing outside the iron gates.

At the perimeter wall, three men in dark tactical gear moved like ghosts. Marco Rossi led the team, cutting through the electronic security grid with a high-end signal jammer.

"Grid is down," Marco whispered into his comms. "We’re over the wall. Moving toward the west wing where the servants' quarters are."

They dropped silently onto the manicured lawn, hugging the shadows of the massive hedges. They crept toward the side entrance, their boots making no sound on the damp grass. Marco reached for the brass handle of the service door, sliding a lockpick from his pocket.

The door swung inward. Marco grinned behind his balaclava. Too easy.

He stepped inside into the darkened hallway—and froze.
