Chapter 10 - THE GHOST IN THE SYSTEMVance Industries’ high-tech subterranean server room hummed with a low, rhythmic vibration. Rows of quantum supercomputers blinked with a hypnotic array of blue and green lights, guarding billions of dollars in proprietary assets and global defense contracts.

Chief Technology Officer Liam Vance—Arthur’s brilliant cousin—paced frantically in front of the main diagnostic monitor. Lines of corrupted code were scrolling down the screen at a dizzying speed, flashing an ominous crimson warning: SYSTEM COMPROMISE DETECTED. ROOT ACCESS OVERRIDDEN.

"How is this possible?" Liam muttered, his fingers flying across the mechanical keyboard in a desperate attempt to isolate the intrusion. "Our firewall uses military-grade quantum encryption! No one outside the inner circle should even be able to ping our servers!"

The heavy steel security door hissed open, and Arthur strode into the server room, followed closely by Marcus.

"Talk to me, Liam," Arthur said, his voice entirely devoid of panic, though the stakes couldn't have been higher.

"We’ve been hit by a zero-day exploit," Liam explained, sweat dripping down his forehead as he pointed to a pulsing red node on the world map graphic. "It’s not just a standard hacker. The attack is originating from an encrypted proxy server in Zurich, Switzerland—routed directly through accounts belonging to Evelyn’s offshore holding companies. They’re stripping our intellectual property, draining our liquidity accounts, and locking us out of our own satellite network."

Arthur stared at the screen, watching millions of dollars vanish into thin air with every second that ticked by. The Architect wasn't waiting for a court trial; he was bleeding Vance Industries dry in real-time, executing a synchronized digital blitzkrieg designed to bankrupt the company within forty-eight hours.

"They want a digital war?" Arthur asked, a cold, predatory smile touching the corner of his lips. "Give them what they want. But deploy the Honeycomb Protocol."

Liam gasped, staring at Arthur in utter disbelief. "Arthur, are you insane? The Honeycomb Protocol is a scorched-earth nuclear countermeasure! It will destroy our own secondary databases and trigger an automatic federal cyber-alert across three continents!"

"Do it," Arthur ordered, his voice absolute. "Let’s see how much they can steal when the vault turns into a live grenade."
