CHAPTER 1 – "Kneel… Or Your Career Dies Here."

The boardroom on the 47th floor had never been quieter.

Twenty executives watched without blinking as Emily Carter, the youngest financial analyst in the company, slowly dropped to her knees on the polished marble floor.

She wasn't guilty.

She wasn't even being investigated.

She was simply the easiest person to blame.

At the head of the table stood Richard Holloway, the company's feared CEO. His reputation wasn't built on intelligence alone—it was built on fear. Thousands obeyed him because everyone knew one thing:

If Richard wanted your career destroyed, it would happen before sunset.

He stopped inches from Emily, pointing a finger at her face.

"You lost confidential financial documents."

Emily looked up with trembling eyes.

"I didn't steal anything."

Richard's voice echoed across the room.

"Then explain why your security card accessed the archive at midnight."

Murmurs spread among the executives.

Several secretly smiled.

Emily had been outperforming senior managers for months. She was becoming too valuable… and too dangerous.

Someone had framed her.

But no one dared speak.

Richard leaned closer.

"Apologize."

Emily refused.

"I won't confess to something I didn't do."

Richard's expression hardened.

"Then kneel until you learn respect."

Gasps filled the room.

For nearly two minutes, nobody moved.

Emily slowly lowered herself onto both knees—not because she accepted guilt…

…but because she had promised her dying mother she would never let pride destroy her future.

As tears formed in her eyes, something unexpected happened.

Her phone vibrated.

One message.

Unknown sender.

"Don't say another word. Open the white envelope under your chair when he finishes."

Emily froze.

She looked beneath her chair.

A plain white envelope.

No name.

No logo.

Just one sentence written across the front.

"For the true owner."
