Chapter 6 - The Unraveling

The boardroom erupted into absolute bedlam.
Board members were shouting over one another, demanding answers, while public relations reps frantically tried to draft damage control statements that were already obsolete.
Julian stared at the documents spread across the table—unaltered genetic markers, sworn affidavits from former delivering nurses now living abroad, and financial trails linking Eleanor Sterling’s secret offshore accounts to the cover-up.
"You... you ruined everything," Julian whispered, his voice trembling as he stared at Clara with sheer hatred. "Generations of legacy... destroyed by a nobody from Queens."
"I am somebody," Clara replied softly, her voice carrying a spine-chilling power. "And more importantly, I am a mother. You forgot that people who have nothing left to lose are the most dangerous people in the world."
Marcus Vance cleared his throat, addressing the stunned board members. "Furthermore, under the clauses of the original Sterling trust, any proven fraudulent assumption of the primary heir title results in the immediate forfeiture of all corporate holdings, reverting ownership to a public receivership pending full asset recovery."
"No... NO!" Julian lunged across the table toward Clara, his hands clawing out in a blind rage.
Before he could take two steps, the federal marshals stepped forward, pinning Julian’s arms behind his back and snapping cold steel handcuffs around his wrists.

"Julian Sterling, you are being detained for questioning regarding corporate fraud, securities manipulation, and interstate extortion," the lead marshal announced crisply.
The cameras outside the building captured every single second. Live news vans zoomed in as Julian Sterling—the invincible golden boy of New York—was dragged out of his own corporate headquarters in handcuffs, his head bowed in utter defeat.
