Chapter 10 - The Queenâs Gambit (The Ultimate Finale)đ„ CLICKBAIT TITLE: HE THOUGHT HE COULD DESTROY ME WITH HIS MISTRESS... NOW HEâS WATCHING ME FROM THE STREET AS I TAKE IT ALL!

Three weeks later.
The autumn wind whipped through the city streets, carrying the crisp scent of changing leaves.
I stood on the private wrap-around balcony of the penthouse, holding a cup of steaming hot Earl Grey tea. Below, the city bustled with life. Traffic crawled along the avenues, pedestrians hurried to their morning meetings, and down on the corner, standing outside a public transit station with a cardboard box of his remaining personal belongings, stood Daniel.
He looked weathered, broken, and utterly hollow. His expensive suits were gone, replaced by a cheap, off-the-rack jacket that didn't fit him properly. Claire had abandoned him within forty-eight hours of the bankruptcy, taking whatever cash she could scrape together and disappearing into the night. Margaret was reportedly holed up in a tiny suburban apartment, stripped of her social standing and abandoned by the very elite circle she had spent her entire life trying to impress.
As if feeling the weight of a gaze from above, Daniel slowly raised his head.
Through the tinted glass of the balcony, our eyes locked across the vast distance.
He didn't wave. He didn't yell. He just dropped his head, turned his back, and melted into the crowd of anonymous faces rushing past him.
I took a slow sip of my tea, feeling the warmth spread through my chest.
Eleven years ago, I had walked down an aisle believing I was building a partnership. Eleven years later, I learned that some men are not partnersâthey are simply stepping stones on the path to discovering your own true power.
They thought I would cry, scream, or beg.

Instead, I built an empire upon their ashes.
And as the sun rose fully over the city, I turned away from the balcony, walked back into my home, and locked the door behind me, ready for the rest of my life.
