Chapter 4 - The Mother’s WrathđŸ”„ CLICKBAIT TITLE: WHEN HIS MOTHER REALIZED WHO ACTUALLY OWNED THEIR FAMILY EMPIRE, SHE DID SOMETHING UNTHINKABLE TO HER GOLDEN BOY!

Margaret snatched the paper from Daniel’s hands before he could process the text. Her eyes scanned the legal jargon, her lips moving silently as she processed the terrifying reality of what her son had brought upon their precious dynasty.

"This... this is fake," Margaret gasped, her voice trembling with genuine terror. She looked up, her eyes wide with sudden, desperate malice directed at me. "You fraudulent little bitch! You manipulated him! You trapped him!"

"Manipulated him?" I let out a sharp, incredulous laugh, taking a slow step toward the head of the table. "Margaret, for eight months, your son brought his mistress to family dinners under the guise of 'late-night strategy meetings.' You covered for him. You helped him hide hotel receipts. You even had the audacity to tell me to sit at the end of the table tonight to humiliate me."

I pointed a steady finger directly at the older woman.

"I didn't trap him. I gave him enough rope to hang himself. And he wove the noose himself."

Margaret turned on Daniel with the fury of a wounded lioness. She slammed her palm against the table, rattling the silverware.

"You absolute fool!" she shrieked at her son, grabbing the lapel of his expensive bespoke suit and shaking him. "You lost the company? Our company? To her? What have you done? What did you do to make her do this?!"

"Mother, stop it!" Daniel roared, pushing her hands away, his face twisted in humiliation as twenty-five family members watched their golden boy get publicly dismantled by both his betrayed wife and his hysterical mother.

"Don't you dare tell me to stop!" Margaret shrieked, tears of pure rage springing to her eyes. "You threw away everything—our generational wealth, our status, our security—for a cheap office secretary who can't even dress herself properly!"

Claire gasped, her face flushing bright red with fiery indignation. "Hey! Watch your mouth, you old hag! I didn't do anything wrong! Daniel promised me—"

"Shut up! Both of you, just shut up!" Daniel screamed, burying his face in his hands as the reality of his total, catastrophic ruin finally crashed down upon him.

And I stood right in the center of it, sipping my champagne.
