CHAPTER 2 – The Secret Hidden Inside the Nursery Wall

Emma escaped through the bedroom window with Noah in her arms and ran barefoot across the rain-soaked backyard.
She didn't stop until she reached the house of their elderly neighbor, Mrs. Evelyn.
Shaking uncontrollably, Emma told her everything.
Instead of looking surprised...
Mrs. Evelyn went pale.
"I've heard those words before," she whispered.
Emma stared at her.
"What do you mean?"
Mrs. Evelyn disappeared into another room and returned with an old newspaper from twenty-six years earlier.
The headline read:
"Local Couple Dies in Mysterious House Fire. Infant Son Survives."
The address...
Was Emma's house.
Daniel had inherited it after his adoptive parents died.
Mrs. Evelyn lowered her voice.
"I never believed that fire was an accident."
The next morning, police searched the house.
Daniel was gone.
No signs of forced entry.
No fingerprints.
Almost as if he had vanished.
While investigators examined the nursery, one officer noticed fresh scratches behind the crib.
They removed the wallpaper.
Hidden inside the wall was a locked metal box.
Inside...
A stack of photographs.
Every woman Daniel had dated.
Every relationship.
Every engagement.
Each photo had one thing in common.
Every woman was holding a baby.
At the bottom of the box was a handwritten journal.
The final page read:
"Inheritance can only belong to the last surviving heir."
Then Emma noticed something horrifying.
The journal wasn't finished.
The last page had been written...
Yesterday.
And beneath the final sentence was one more line.
"Emma escaped... but she'll come back. They always do."
Just then...
Emma's phone buzzed.
An unknown number had sent her a live photo.
It showed Noah...
Sleeping peacefully.
Inside his own crib.
But Noah was no longer with Emma.
He had disappeared only minutes earlier.
And in the corner of the photo...
May you like
Daniel was smiling directly into the camera.
END OF CHAPTER 2... The nightmare has only just begun.
