CHAPTER 3 – The Son Who Was Never Supposed to Know

Nathan stepped back as if the floor had opened beneath him.

“No,” he whispered. “That’s impossible.”

The scarred man lowered his eyes.

“My name is Adrian Vale. Twenty-nine years ago, your mother loved me before she married Richard Crawford.”

Nathan’s face hardened.

“Don’t you dare talk about my mother.”

Adrian’s voice broke.

“She was forced to leave me because your grandfather threatened to ruin my family.”

Sophia sobbed.

“I found out after we married. I tried to tell you, Nathan, but your father—Richard—paid people to erase everything.”

Then the elderly woman revealed the final document.

A hospital record.

Nathan’s birth certificate had been altered.

And the man who changed it… was Richard Crawford himself.

At that moment, Richard entered the ballroom, pale with rage.

“You should have stayed dead, Adrian.”

The entire room froze.

Nathan turned slowly.

“Dad… you knew?”

Richard smiled coldly.

“I gave you a billion-dollar life. That man gave you nothing.”

May you like

Nathan stared at the father who raised him.

For the first time, he saw a stranger.
