CHAPTER 4 – The Bride Who Wasn’t the Villain
Richard ordered security to remove Adrian, but Nathan shouted:
“Nobody touches him.”
Sophia stepped forward, shaking.
“I didn’t hide the truth because I wanted money. I hid it because Richard threatened to destroy Nathan if I spoke.”
Richard laughed.
“And who would believe you?”
Then the elderly woman pressed play on a recorder.
Richard’s own voice filled the ballroom:
“If Sophia talks, Nathan loses everything. If Adrian appears, he disappears again.”
The crowd gasped.
Reporters went live.
Richard lunged toward the recorder—but Nathan blocked him.
“You used my life as a business deal.”
Richard’s face twisted.
“I built you!”
Nathan removed the engagement ring from Sophia’s hand.
Everyone thought he was ending it.
Instead, he turned to the cameras.
“This engagement is over… until every lie my family built is exposed.”
Then Adrian collapsed.
Sophia screamed.

“Your mother is still alive.”
