Chapter 5 - THE ULTIMATE BETRAYAL

😱 THE TWIST OF THE CENTURY: The Bride's Dirty Secret Exposed at the Altar! 😱Every eye in the garden shifted from Valeria to Rodrigo, who froze mid-step near the rose bushes. His face was completely flushed with guilt, his eyes darting frantically around the estate.

Alejandro looked from Rodrigo to Isabella, his mind struggling to process the sudden shift in the narrative. "Rodrigo? What does Rodrigo have to do with my baby?"

Valeria signaled her assistant, who pulled out a tablet and pressed a button. Suddenly, the massive LED screens behind the altar—which were originally meant to show a romantic slideshow of Alejandro and Isabella’s love story—flickered.

Instead of engagement photos, a medical document appeared in high-definition clarity. It was a DNA prenatal paternity test from a highly exclusive private laboratory in Houston, Texas.

The names listed at the top: Isabella Garza and Rodrigo Vance.

The result: 99.9% Probability of Paternity.

The garden erupted into absolute chaos. Guests were on their feet, taking out their phones, snapping photos of the screens, and whispering frantically. This wasn't just a social scandal; it was a nuclear detonation in the world of high society.

"No! Turn it off! Turn it off!" Isabella shrieked, sprinting toward the control booth, tripping over her diamond gown and crashing heavily onto the grass. Her pristine white dress stained with mud, her tiara tumbling into the dirt.

Alejandro stood paralyzed, looking at the screen, then at his best friend. "Rodrigo... you? She... it’s yours?"

Rodrigo threw his hands up in defense, backed against the wall. "Alejandro, listen to me, bro! The company was failing! Carlos was going to cut us off! Isabella needed a scapegoat to marry so her dad wouldn't find out she was sleeping with me while we were managing the hotel accounts! It was her idea! She said you were stupid enough to believe anything if she threw money at you!"

"You piece of trash!" Alejandro screamed, his voice breaking into a guttural roar. He charged at Rodrigo, but Valeria’s bodyguards instantly stepped between them, stopping Alejandro with a single, unyielding arm.

"Not on my property, Alejandro," Valeria said, her voice dripping with absolute authority. "I won't have your pathetic street brawls ruining the grass of my hacienda."

Alejandro turned around slowly, looking at the destruction of his life.

The woman he dumped for being "worthless" was a multi-millionaire who owned the very ground he stood on.

The children he never knew he had despised him and belonged entirely to an empire he couldn't touch.

The billionaire family he thought he was marrying into was completely bankrupt.

And the baby he thought would secure his legacy belonged to his best friend, who had been laughing at his stupidity behind his back for months.

Carlos Garza looked at his daughter, who was crying in the mud, then at Alejandro. The old patriarch looked as if he had aged twenty years in twenty minutes. He looked at Valeria and fell to his knees.

"Valeria... please," Carlos begged, his voice cracking. "Take the hotels. Take the hacienda. Take everything. Just don't release this to the press. If the board of directors sees this, our stock will hit zero by tomorrow morning. We will be ruined. We will have to sell our homes just to survive."

Valeria looked down at the kneeling billionaire, her face an unreadable mask of cold stone.

"You should have taught your daughter manners, Carlos. And you should have vetted your son-in-law before allowing him to use your family name to humiliate others," Valeria said coldly. "The press already has the documents. In exactly five minutes, the Wall Street Journal and El Financiero will publish the full breakdown of the Garza Group’s bankruptcy and the takeover by Phoenix Capital."

Isabella let out a broken, pathetic sob from the dirt, her luxury life evaporating before her eyes.

Valeria turned her back on them, looking down at her twins. Her face instantly softened, a warm, beautiful smile returning to her lips. "Come, my loves. Let's go home. The air here is foul."

"Valeria! Wait!" Alejandro cried out, dragging himself toward her, tears streaming down his face, his white designer tuxedo covered in dust. "Valeria, please! Remember what we had! Doctores! We loved each other! I made a mistake! I was blinded by greed! Please, give me a second chance! Let me be a father to our children! I'll do anything! I'll work for you! I'll be your servant! Just don't leave me with nothing!"

Valeria stopped. She didn't turn around, but her voice carried clearly across the silent garden.

"Five years ago, on a flooded sidewalk in Doctores, I begged you to look at me," Valeria whispered. "You told me I was nothing but a cashier with no future. You told me we were never meant to live in the same world."

She stepped forward, her bodyguards opening the door of the Rolls-Royce.

"You were right, Alejandro. We don't live in the same world. Welcome to yours."
