Chapter 6 - THE EVAPORATION OF AN IMPOSING SHADOW

📉 FROM THE ALTAR TO THE STREETS: The Total Liquidation of Mexico's Most Arrogant Groom! 📉The heavy door of the Rolls-Royce Phantom closed with a soft, authoritative thud, sealing Valeria and her children away from the pathetic display of the elite turning on each other. As the luxury vehicle glided effortlessly away from the estate, the true aftermath of Valeria’s masterstroke began to unfold.
Within minutes of her departure, the security guards—whose contracts had officially been transferred to Phoenix Capital that very morning—received direct orders via their earpieces.
The head of security walked up to the altar, where Alejandro was still on his knees, clutching the dirt.
"Mr. Garza, Mr. Vance, and Mr. ... whatever your name is," the security chief said, his voice completely devoid of respect. "This property is now a private asset of Phoenix Capital Holdings. The current owner has ordered the immediate evacuation of all unauthorized personnel. You have ten minutes to clear the premises."
"What?!" Isabella shrieked, pulling herself up from the mud, her diamond-encrusted dress heavy and ruined. "This is my wedding! You can't throw me out of my own wedding!"
"It was your wedding, Ms. Garza," the chief replied, tipping his hat coldly. "But as of five minutes ago, your family’s credit cards have been officially frozen by the central bank. The catering company, the florists, and the staff have already stopped working because their payments bounced. Look around you."
Isabella looked up. The waiters were already stripping the white linen cloths from the tables. The luxury florists were tearing down the thousands of imported white orchids, packing them into boxes to sell elsewhere to salvage their losses. The elite guests—the governors, the billionaires, the old-money socialites—were sprinting toward their limousines, desperate to distance themselves from the radioactive scandal of the century. No one wanted to be seen with the bankrupt Garzas or the fraudulent groom.
Within half an hour, the grand Hacienda San Gabriel was dark, empty, and silent.
Alejandro stood outside the massive iron gates of the estate. The gates were locked tight, a heavy chain and a legal notice from Phoenix Capital slapped across the gold crest.
He had no car. The luxury BMW he had been driving for the past year was leased under the Garza Group's corporate account, and a flatbed tow truck had already arrived to repossess it right in front of his eyes.
"Alejandro..." a shaky voice called out from behind him.
He turned to see Isabella. Without the professional lighting, the expensive makeup, and the illusion of immense wealth, she looked hollow, tired, and pathetic. Her father had already left her behind, fleeing in a private taxi to meet with criminal defense attorneys to prepare for the inevitable corporate fraud charges.
"Get away from me," Alejandro hissed, his teeth chattering in the cool evening air of Valle de Bravo.
"We need to stick together!" Isabella cried, her voice cracking. "We can sue her! We can find a way out! My father still has some assets hidden in Switzerland—"
"Your father is going to jail, Isabella! And you’re pregnant with my best friend’s bastard!" Alejandro roared, his face twisting in an ugly mask of pure hatred. "You ruined my life! I had a woman who loved me, a woman who was a financial genius, and I traded her for a fake heiress and a mountain of debt!"
"You traded her because you're an arrogant parasite, Alejandro!" Isabella screamed back, her veneer of high-society elegance completely shattered as she spat on the ground near his feet. "You never loved me! You loved my father’s bank accounts! Don't act like a victim! You got exactly what you deserved!"
As she stumbled away into the dark highway to find a ride, Alejandro was left completely alone on the side of the road.
The wind began to blow, and heavy drops of rain began to fall from the sky. It was a cruel, poetic mirror of that fateful night five years ago. He looked down at his white designer tuxedo, now soaked through, turning a miserable, dirty gray.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He opened his banking app, hoping against hope that he had something left in his personal savings.
Account Balance: $0.00 Notice: This account has been seized by order of the Federal Court due to outstanding liabilities connected to the Garza Group liquidation.

He was broke. He was homeless. He was a social pariah.
He slumped against the stone wall of the hacienda he thought he would own, his head in his hands, crying tears of absolute despair into the dark, rainy night.
