Chapter 12 - The Fall of the ArchitectBefore Marcus could push past her, the heavy security doors at the end of the parking bay flew open.

Three federal agents in dark tactical vests, accompanied by bank security, poured into the garage. They didn't even look at Katherine; they moved with mechanical precision, surrounding Marcus’s vehicle.
Special Agent Vance stepped forward, pulling the car door open with a sharp yank.
"Marcus Bell," Vance announced, his voice echoing off the concrete pillars. "You are under arrest for conspiracy, wire fraud, and international money laundering."
Marcus didn't fight. He slumped back into the leather seat, his hands trembling as the cold steel cuffs snapped around his wrists. As they hauled him out of the car, he cast one final, venomous look toward Katherine.
"You think you won everything, Katherine?" Marcus sneered as they shoved him toward the cruiser. "Bellwether has offshore nodes in Zurich you can't touch. You'll never see a dime of that money!"
Katherine didn't blink. She reached into her briefcase, pulled out a encrypted flash drive, and tossed it neatly onto the passenger seat of the police cruiser, right beside the arresting officer.

"Check partition four of the Zurich node," Katherine said calmly. "I routed the final recovery transfer to the federal restitution fund five minutes ago."
Marcus’s jaw dropped. The cruiser doors slammed shut, sealing his fate forever.
