CHAPTER 10 — The Christmas Miracle No One Saw Coming
Gunfire erupted across the warehouse.
Within minutes, James's mercenaries surrendered.
Surrounded by federal agents, James realized there was no escape.
As officers placed him in handcuffs, he looked at Daniel with hatred.
"You won the company."
Daniel quietly shook his head.
"No."
"I got my family back."
James lowered his head for the first time.
Outside, snow had begun to fall again.

Daniel walked over and took her hand.

Lily grabbed both of their hands.
"No more lies."

"We're a family again."
One year later...
Daniel sold Carter Technologies for $4.8 billion.
Instead of building another empire, he founded The Lily Foundation, helping children whose parents had disappeared because of violence, trafficking, or corruption.
Every Christmas, families reunited through the foundation received one handwritten letter from Daniel that always ended with the same words:
"The greatest fortune isn't money. It's getting one more chance to come home."
As snow fell outside their new home, Lily hung one final ornament on the tree.
