CHAPTER 3 — The Brother Who Buried a Living Child

Daniel’s brother, Victor, stood at the front of the plane like a man watching his empire catch fire.

For five years, Victor had played the grieving uncle.

He had visited Daniel’s mansion every Christmas.

He had placed flowers on the fake grave.

He had even hugged Daniel at his wife’s funeral and whispered, “You still have me.”

Now Daniel understood.

Victor had not been comforting him.

He had been guarding the secret.

Emily clutched Noah tightly as Victor’s smile returned.

“Daniel, you’re emotional. That woman is a criminal. She kidnapped a child and invented a story.”

Daniel stepped closer.

“Then prove it.”

Victor’s jaw tightened.

Daniel raised his phone.

“I already sent the blanket photo to my lawyer. And the birthmark. And your hospital payment records.”

For the first time, Victor looked afraid.

Then Noah suddenly reached his tiny hand toward Daniel and whispered one word.

“Daddy?”

The entire plane froze.

Victor’s face twisted with rage.

Before anyone could move, he grabbed Emily’s arm and hissed,

“You should have died with the nurse.”

Daniel lunged forward.

But Emily screamed louder.

Because Victor had just confessed in front of everyone.

Within seconds, passengers were recording.

Flight attendants blocked the aisle.

Security stormed in.

Victor tried to run, but Daniel caught him by the collar and whispered,

“You didn’t steal my money, Victor…”

“You stole my son.”

Victor laughed bitterly.

“No. I saved the family business. Your wife was going to expose everything. She knew about the baby ring.”

Daniel’s world stopped again.

“My wife knew?”

Victor leaned closer.

“She didn’t die from grief, brother.”

Daniel’s grip loosened.

May you like

Victor smiled like a devil.

“She was silenced.”
