"You were stolen as an infant, Aria," Lucas revealed, his voice dropping into a harsh register. "Victoria isn't your mother. She is the woman who destroyed your biological family, the Montgomerys, to claim their empire. And I am not just your husband—I am the son of the lawyer Victoria framed for her crimes."

Aria stumbled back, clutching her chest as tears flooded her eyes. Her entire life—her mother's love, her marriage, her baby—was a labyrinth of lies and revenge.

"So you married me just to get close to her?" Aria cried, heartbreak tearing through her voice. "Our entire marriage was a lie?!"

"At first, yes," Lucas admitted coldly. "It was supposed to be a mission to destroy Victoria. But Leo... Leo wasn't part of my plan. I swapped the DNA test results to protect him from Victoria’s hitmen!"
