CHAPTER 4 â The Kiss That Ended Everything

Security rushed forward, but the ballroom doors suddenly opened.
Two federal agents walked in.
Behind them came an elderly man in a wheelchairâRyanâs grandfather, William Whitmore.
Everyone believed he had lost his memory years ago.
But William raised one shaking hand and pointed at Patricia.
âShe paid them.â
Patricia screamed, âFather, stop!â
He continued, his voice weak but clear.
âShe paid the nurse. She paid the judge. She paid Emily.â
Emily collapsed into tears.
Ryan removed his wedding ring before the ceremony had even begun.
Then the woman in blue gently touched his face.
âI didnât come to take your life away,â she whispered. âI came to give you the truth.â
Ryan broke down and kissed her hand.
For the first time in his life, he called the right womanâŠ
âMom.â
The cameras captured everything.
But the biggest twist came when William revealed one final document:
May you like
