Chapter 11 - From King to OutcastRichard Vance stepped forward, his expression hardening into a mask of pure corporate disdain as he walked toward the gates.

"What is this disruption?" Richard demanded, his authoritative voice carrying easily across the lawn.

"Mr. Vance! Please, tell them!" Julian cried out, stretching his trembling hands toward Richard through the security barrier. "You know me! We worked together! My ex-wife—she stole everything from me! She threw me out on the street, she ruined my life, she turned all of you against me! I’m ruined!"

Richard stopped a few feet away, looking at Julian the way a biologist might examine a particularly repulsive specimen under a microscope.

"I know a man named Julian Vance," Richard replied coldly, his voice dripping with absolute contempt. "He was an incompetent, embezzling parasite who tried to ride his wife's coattails while stabbing her in the back. But looking at you right now, I don't see him. I just see a trespasser."

A low murmur of laughter rippled through the gathered crowd. Selina’s cruel words from months ago echoed ironically in my mind: I thought he was a successful executive with deep pockets, not a broke bum. Karma had truly come full circle.

Julian’s jaw slackened. The humiliation he had so carelessly inflicted upon me at this exact spot months ago was now being mirrored back at him a thousandfold, magnified by his own utter failure.

"Clara..." Julian whimpered, his eyes locking onto mine across the illuminated lawn. He didn't even try to look proud anymore; he looked completely broken. "Please. Have mercy. I have nowhere to go."

I didn't flinch. I didn't look away. I simply took a slow sip of my champagne, letting the bubbles dance on my tongue before I answered.

"You had two years of mercy, Julian," I said, my voice carrying clearly through the silent estate. "You just chose to spend it mocking the person who kept you alive. Security, escort him off the property permanently. If he ever steps foot near this estate again, call the police."
