I sat on the private terrace of my penthouse home, sipping a cup of warm chamomile tea while watching the sun dip below the shimmering horizon of Lake Michigan. My phone rested silently on the glass table beside me, displaying a notification for a keynote speech I was scheduled to deliver the next morning at the National Women’s Leadership Summit.
