Chapter 10 - The Final SunsetDawn broke over the city skyline, painting the upper floors of the Vance Tower penthouse in brilliant shades of amber, gold, and soft rose. The cool blue night light had vanished, replaced by the warm, life-giving brilliance of a new morning.

Vincent stood alone in the center of the ultra-luxury penthouse hallway. The marble floor had been meticulously scrubbed clean; the housekeeping cart was gone, and the white flowers near the window stood tall and untarnished.
The private elevator chimed softly.
The doors slid open, and Anna stepped out. She wore her crisp black maid dress, her blonde hair neatly pinned, her expression a mix of exhaustion and profound relief. In her hands, she carried a silver tray with a single cup of black coffee.
"Mr. Vance," she said quietly, stepping onto the polished floor. "The federal marshals called. The assets have been frozen, and the board has formally reinstated you as permanent chairman."
Vincent didn't turn around immediately. He kept his eyes fixed on the panoramic window, watching the city wake up beneath him. The skyline that had felt like a cage twenty-four hours ago now looked vast, endless, and entirely his to command.
He slowly turned around, took the silver tray from Anna’s hands, and offered her a small, genuine smile—the first real smile he had worn in a decade.
"Thank you, Anna," Vincent said, his voice steady, warm, and entirely at peace. "You did an exceptional job last night."
"Will you be needing anything else, sir?" she asked, hesitating for a fraction of a second.

Vincent looked out at the golden horizon, where the sun was now fully clearing the eastern skyscrapers, burning away every last shadow that had ever haunted his home.
"No, Anna," Vincent whispered, raising the coffee cup to his lips as the private elevator doors closed softly behind her, leaving him alone in the quiet, absolute triumph of his new reality. "I have everything I need."
